Raichak :

The five month cap between October and March is the best time to go anywhere in the entire country and Raichak is no more exception. The place experiences a pleasant winter. The nights tend to get chilly, especially between December and February. But even then, the beautiful weather and riverside town complement each other perfectly in winters. Located only 50 kms from Kolkata. With the Hoogly river on its side and numerous forts like The F Fort, Chingrikhali Fort added to its earther charm.
Directions – Raichak lies at a driving distance from Kolkata. You should drive down the Diamond Harbour Road from Behala in southern Kolkata to reach Sarisha in about 30 min and take a right turn just before Diamond Harbour . Raichak is another 5 km from here
Machranga Dwip :

Also known as kingfisher Island, this short day trip destination is situated in the middle of river Ichamati, with India on one side and Bangladesh on the other. You can arrange for a picnic, take a boat ride from there. The place is more or less a virgin spot and a secretive destination for bird and photographers. You can also visit the nearby attractions Taki (only 20 minutes away) and Hasnabad.
Directions – In order to reach Machranga Dwip, you need to travel to Hasnabad, either by road (75km from Kolkata),or by bus from Dharmatala or by trains from Sealdah. After you arrive in Hasnabad, avail the service of vans to reach the ferry dock for motorboats to reach the island. You can also hire motorboats from Taki.
Junput :

Directions – Junput can be reached a distance of 40 km by road from Digha, with a change at Contai. You can take Tamralipta Express or Howrah-Digha Superfast Express from Howrah station and reach Contai, and take an auto or a rickshaw to Junput resort (from Kolkata 145 km).
Daringbadi :
District : Kandhmal, odhisa

Daringbadi is also named as “Kashmir of Odhisa” because of its scenic beauty like lust green forest, wide variety of flora and exotic birds. Its location is highly unlikely as Odhisa is mainly known for its beautiful sand beaches. The place is at an altitude of 3000 ft (915 mts) above sea level. Also the place has an extremely pleasant climate through out the year with chances of snowfall in winter. You will have some spellbinding memories by visiting sight seeing like Hill view point, Nature Park, Doluri River, Pine Jungle, Coffee garden and Lovers Paradise.
Directions – You can take flight or train to Bhubaneswar. Distance between Bhubaneswar to Daringbadi is 250 km. From Bhubaneswar you can take private car or public AC / non AC bus service to reach Baliguda. The distance from Baliguda to Daringbadi is 40 km.
